We are a very friendly, well stocked village shop and Post Office located just off the A428 (Northampton to Bedford) open Monday to Saturday lunchtime (8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. – closed lunchtime 1.00 – 2.00)

We are close to Great Houghton, Brafield, Billing and Brackmills Industrial Estate.

We stock newspapers, magazines, fresh bread, cakes, local cooked meats, preserves, coal/wood, and much more…


Supporting Local Food

Fresh bread cakes & savouries from "Cookies" of Raunds available daily from 8.30 am. with croissants also available on a Saturday morning. Orders taken. Gluten Free & Low GI bread available to order too.

Also scrumptious cakes supplied by Fatherson Bakeries

Local Pickles and Preserves - a new range of Pickles, Relishes, Marmalades and conserves from “The Pickled Village” now available

Other Products & Services

Newspapers & Magazines - Large selection of newspapers and magazines. Home deliveries available for Little Houghton & Great Houghton, with counter sales available for casual purchases.

Firewood, Coal/Charcoal - (available in Season)

Laundry & Dry Cleaning - Drop-off and collection service. Leave garments by 5.30 p.m. Monday & Wednesday for collection after 2.00p.m. the following Tuesday & Thursday respectively.

General Groceries - fresh milk, general groceries, a small selection of fresh fruit & vegetables, frozen foods, confectionery, greetings cards, soft drinks
